I wish I could say I was one of those super fashion-forward gals who couldn’t care less about the whole “No white after Labor Day” rule, but I must say I follow it pretty much without fail every year. Whether it be on purpose or just subconsciously, I find myself gravitating towards warmer colors once September arrives. Which is why I am wearing ALL THE WHITE in today’s look that I think is perfect for one of your final summer evenings out!My outfit details can be summed up pretty easily – J.Crew. I could own every single color of the Tippi sweater and still not feel like I have enough! They fit great and are super super soft & cozy without being too heavy. I wear them with shorts & skirts in the summer, then layer it up with collared shirts and puffer vests in the winter. This skirt. Perfection. They say it “proves that your desk-to-dinner skirt and your straight-through-the-weekend skirt can be the same skirt—it’s just a question of footwear” & that is totally right (as always… seriously what genius writes their product descriptions!? cause they are all golden). I absolutely love this one and this, too (side note – while searching for my skirt I came across this dress and I am obsessed). So… is anybody sick of seeing the ever so coveted Clare V. clutch yet? No? Okay good. Because I don’t think anyone who has it is anywhere even remotely close to retiring it from their wardrobe. It is just THAT good. Seriously girls, save your pennies or ask Santa because I know the price tag isn’t too easy on the bank account but you will wonder how you ever survived without it once you have it.
My shoes…. sigh. They are LC Lauren Conrad (from Kohl’s). So, so hard to break in and they gave me major blisters the first time I wore them. I fight through the pain because they are pretty, but I sadly still haven’t made my final verdict on them yet. Hopefully they become less “ouch” because I really love the look of them! But for a look like this, any pair of nude heels or sandals would look great. I also think every all-white outfit needs a soft pop of color to give the look some dimension while still looking very clean. I chose to add a statement necklace for that needed pop, but a soft blush or powder blue pair of heels instead would be gorgeous.
